Sisters Weekend!

My sisters and I have been doing Sisters Weekend for years now.

It started in 1998, precisely on February 12 up in Heber/Midway Utah.

We do what what we do best: eat, play around, and laugh.

This year was no exception. 

We started out the night at my favorite restaurant

with the nicest card on our table from the staff

and enjoying my FAVORITE food ever;

Filet Mignon- Medium Rare & Butterfly Cut.

(don't skimp on the sizzling butter either)

We made our way back to the condo where we did some exploring and standard "messing around" that we did exactly 13 years ago to date.......

This was only the beginning.  I promised Tam I wouldn't put the video of her fighting to stay away after having taken an ambien and the lack of balance, rubbing blue M&M over her face, telling us the floor is slanted and the bed won't stop rocking craziness.... on youtube.  But you can imagine!

The next morning we went snowmobiling which was a lot of fun, minus the lack of time we had, and the incident where Caralee and Sommer confused the turn menuvour and ended up tipping the snowmobile and flying off into a tree. First Caralee, then Sommer right behind her pushing Caralee into the tree again. 

I'm sorry, I shouldn't be laughing right now but if you saw Cara's face when she saw Tam and I coming around the corner you'd be laughing too. 

I don't have pictures of any of this. But what I do have is a picture of poor Caralee trying to walk but her back was already killing her. Sadly, when I upload the photos, they post sideways. So instead of getting frustrated, i'm just not even going to try to fix it.

Let it be known that of any of us sisters, Caralee is the one who will have something happen to her.

We finished off the day enjoying the Park City Outlets, one of the others things we do so well.

Kick it one time....

Stubbs and I were lagging a little bit and decided to have a 30 sec. dance party.

Well, after doing a few stretches to get ready to cut a rug, we got tired and this is how we ended up.

No this isn't a camera trick or optical illusion, I really am that much taller than Liz.

I was going to say bigger but then that would sound like I'm implying she's a midget, which she isn't.

Anyway, as I was reading the post it got me thinking-

 my list isn't nearly long enough.

I like to call mine the

 "Lucky 13"

and everyone of them has the most interesting/humorous story to go along with it.

I won't be sharing the list with you on this blog, but maybe when they write a book about my crazy life,

just jump right ahead to Chapter 7.

And who knows what life has for me ahead, but I will say, I will gladly and willingly be adding to that list, if not creating several lists.  wink wink!

Monday Night Ritual

I always enjoy having the ladies over for our

weekly Bachelor show with involvment

that includes but not limited to;

toasting when they toast

cheers when they cheers

fake cry when they cry

and even giving a rose to the person with

the best commentary of the night.

What a perfect ending to a day like today. Not only did I get to enjoy some real Italian gelato made by my good friend Andrea (Bocelli) Santurro, but it also started a series of answers to prayers by talking to good friends, especially one who is miles away and just feeling the love I have been needing.

Weekend In LA

Why is it that I will pretty much do anything someone suggests/dares/instigates/etc?

I'm a sucker for spontaneity, and I do it well!

I went out to beautiful 75 degree LA to hang with a close friend, Dan Fife, and together surprise our friend.  

I'm not sure I can say exactly what we did before the footage gets released but here's a little teaser.......

Um, can you tell i'm in love with photo booth pictures? 

It only made sense to use one to start out the surprise!

I've been having a hard time getting into the Spirit of Christmas.

For some reason, I struggle at having to listen to the 2 radio stations that play Christmas music

all day, everyday, since November 1st.

Someone please b-slap it into me.

I HAVE, however, found myself listening to

a little different type of Christms Music that I can't get enough of.

It's not the traditional songs we have grown up with.

It's better than that.

Better than the songs we hear over and over again for 30 straight days.

So here's the deal:

SF Peeps

This past weekend was spent all around California.

Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Sonoma, Napa, Sacramento, Pleasanton, and San Jose.

Along with every where in between.

It was great to get back to all the places i've been before

and even better to be with good friends,

 celebrating two happy weddings.

I could go into detail of all the laughs that Justin, Silvia and I had this past weekend

but we promised "what happens in the Marriot, stays in the Marriot."

Just know that I laughed A LOT this weekend.

Do You Know.....

The Way To San Jose? La la la la lala la la laa

What happens when you spend an amazing evening with your girls at the Sara Bareilles concert?

You forget to transfer your I.D. From your back pocket and back into your wallet.

How do you know this?

You find yourself driving back home after getting to the airport for your flight.

Good thing I ignored my usual tendency to arrive 20 minutes before taking off and got myself to the airport 2 1/2 hours before the boarding time.

I was so relaxed that on the drive home I forgot that I was flying out and started planning the rest of my night in.

Just goes to show how crazy busy I've been. Sister needs a vacation.....maybe I'll get one for Christmas, if I'm good. :)

My sister submitted a video for my bro-in-law to get lasik eye surgery.  She entered under the "serious" category and if you knew Jim's story, you'll understand why. We couldn't make something like this up.
