POP QUIZ

Let's see who can be the first to solve this problem:

Three girls go on a trip to LA.
Two fly Southwest from San Francisco leaving at 5:45 pm
and one flies Delta from Salt Lake City leaving at 4:55 pm.
They both arrive in LAX approximately 10 minutes apart.
During the weekend they shared expenses of one Enterprise car rental, breakfast, and other fun items.
Upon returning home, two girls enjoy a movie covered my one of the girls to be reimbursed.
Girl #1 owes Girl #2 $34.23
Girl #3 owes Girl #2 $12.56
Girl #1 owes Girl #3 $8.33

Girl #1 transfers $42.56 to Girl #2 to cover the cost Girl #1 owes Girl #3 and have Girl #3 deduct that from what she owes Girl #2

If Girl #2 doesn't do math all too well early in the morning and the figures come out to be:
Girl #1 owes Girl #2 $38.33
Girl #2 owes Girl #3 $4.10
Girl #1 owes Girl #3 $8.33

How much does Girl #1 owe girl #2 after the difference of the first transfer minus what Girl #1 owing Girl #3 and what Girl #3 owes Girl #2 less what Girl #2 owes Girl #3?

Did you copy this math question from Abigail's homework? We get stumped on some of the work a 2nd grader brings home. Just reading yours makes my mind hurt.
